Ambassador Advertising
Brand Identity System & Guide

As the Art Director at Ambassador Advertising, I led the development of a comprehensive brand identity system that brought clarity, consistency, and strategic direction to the company’s visual communication. Originally requested as a simple logo and color guide for ministry partners, I identified broader inconsistencies across the company’s website, social media, print materials, presentations, and marketing assets, and expanded the project into a larger brand initiative.

Working directly with executive leadership, I helped define a clearer visual and messaging framework rooted in the company’s mission and audiences. The resulting system unified the brand across print and digital platforms while creating scalable templates, guidelines, and tools for future marketing efforts.

Context & Challenge

The company lacked a consistent visual identity across its marketing and communication materials. Branding decisions were largely based on subjective preference, resulting in fragmented messaging across the website, social media, editorial layouts, presentations, convention materials, and partner-facing assets.

Although the initial request was for a simple logo and color guide, I recognized the need for a broader brand system that could better define the company’s identity, communication style, and long-term visual direction.

My Role

As the company’s Art Director, I independently led the project from strategy through execution while collaborating directly with the President/CEO.

Responsibilities included:

  • Auditing existing brand and marketing materials

  • Defining visual and messaging standards

  • Creating a comprehensive brand guide

  • Designing scalable templates and systems

  • Updating web, social, editorial, and print assets

  • Organizing brand assets and implementing a DAM structure

  • Implementing updated website designs in WordPress

Design Approach & Deliverables

The project focused on creating a cohesive, modernized brand system that balanced professionalism, warmth, clarity, and trust across all communication channels.

Deliverables included:

  • PDF brand standards manual

  • Logo, typography, and color guidelines

  • Tone of voice and messaging guidance

  • Photography and iconography direction

  • Website redesign direction and implementation

  • Editorial and print layout systems

  • Brand asset libraries and DAM organization

Outcome

The completed brand system became the primary reference point for future marketing and communication efforts across the company. Teams adopted the guidelines to maintain stronger consistency across projects, while leadership praised the work for bringing clarity and focus to the company’s mission and visual identity.

The project established a scalable creative foundation that unified the company’s communication across digital, print, editorial, and partner-facing platforms.
